Nombre

El nombre fue algo natural ya que el equipo fue patrocinado primero por la "Indian Packing Company" (Compañia Empacadora Indu) y más tarde, por la "Acme Packing Company" (Compañia empacadora ACME). Aunque ambas empresas salieron del mercado, el equipo prosperado bajo el nombre de Empacadores.
